Katrice has a BA in both International Relations and Communication from BYU and a MA in Professional Communication from SUU. As an employee at UT, she taught as a part-time instructor for 12 years and concurrently worked for Educational Talent Search for six years previous to transitioning to her current position. As a graduate student, Katrice presented her research at Southwest Popular/American Culture Association Conference in 2014 titled, Love and Monsters: Feminism, Religious Parallels and Orientalism in “The Twilight Saga.” As an undergrad, she gained leadership experience as president of both Phi Rho Pi and Lambda Delta Sigma. She volunteered as Virgin River District Cub Scout Day Camp Director for five years, overseeing up to 1,000 Cub Scouts. She has a passion for both learning and helping students.
She loves making bread and teaches the Breadmaking class here at Utah Tech. Outside of academia, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and four children and hiking with her two dogs.
