Program Learning Outcomes
The program will accomplish the following:
PLO 1: Knowledge and Research: Graduates of our program will develop and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of systemic MFT theoretical models, and application of research.
PLO 2: Practice: Graduates will exhibit the skills necessary for professional practice as an MFT and demonstrate the knowledge for successful completion of the MFT national exam and MFT licensure.
PLO 3: Diversity: Graduates of our program will develop and incorporate a global worldview and a multicultural focus into their professional practice, with appropriate sensitivity to a diverse clientele.
PLO 4: Ethics: Graduates of our program will demonstrate competence and ethical standards within their role as employed mental health professionals.
Student Learning Outcomes:
SLO 1: Students will demonstrate the ability to integrate systemic/MFT theory into their clinical practice.
SLO 2: Students will demonstrate the ability to interpret and integrate scholarly work into their clinical practice.
SLO 3: Students will demonstrate competence in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and client management of individuals, couples, and families.
SLO 4: Students will demonstrate cultural understanding and humility for others (i.e., clients, colleagues, faculty, supervisors, and the public) from diverse social identities and backgrounds.
SLO 5: Students will demonstrate understanding and application of ethical principles and decision making to their clinical practice.
