Dr. Lisa Scott joined the Psychology Department faculty in 2023 after earning her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. She enjoys her role as a full-time professor, with a particular passion for mentoring students. Her career allows her to integrate teaching, research, and psychotherapy, which she finds especially fulfilling. In her clinical practice, she primarily works with adults who identify as LGBTQIA+, experience eating and body concerns, or are navigating faith transitions. She also conducts psychological evaluations for autism. Her research focuses on the intersections of marginalization and mental health, with her current project examining treatment approaches for individuals experiencing both gender dysphoria and eating disorder behaviors.
